Redheads, rumor has it Zendaya, the actress best known for her latest role in The Greatest Showman, has been offered the lead role of Ariel in the upcoming remake of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Even though Disney nor Zendaya’s reps have yet to comment on the rumor, we’re excited to see this new adaption of the 1989 animation come to life.

Zendaya channeled her inner redhead at the Met Ball earlier this year –– and she looked fabulous. Maybe, just maybe, this will be the hair color she rocks if she does, in fact, portray Ariel.
Lindsay Lohan has turned to Instagram over the past year to express her desire to play the lead role opposite Meryl Streep. The posts have since been deleted. Twitter users think Madelaine Petsch or Katherine McNamara would be a perfect Ariel.
