Wedding season may be coming to a close, but many brides are walking down the aisle in the next few months; and your special day might be around the corner!
Have you decided one of the most important aspects of your wedding, the perfect red hairstyle?
One of the most perfect details about your wedding that is special compared to any other bride is… your gorgeous red hair. Your hair is the finishing touch that makes everything come together. This one perfect detail will help make your wedding be glamorous, unique, and memorable. Choosing the best style can be difficult, but sometimes the best option is to be classic. “Less” is perfect, especially with your stunning, unique hair.
Here are some suggestions to help you get started:
1. Classic Twist
The French twist is a classic up-do. This classic hairstyle fits any face-shape, but can work especially well if you have medium to long hair. This will allow you to personalize this classic do and make it your own. Redheads have exquisite porcelain skin, and this classic style allows you to showcase your fair and elegant shoulders. To achieve the classic twist, gather your hair at the nape of your neck and begin twisting your hair. Roll your twisted hair upwards and then tuck inwards. Secure your French twist with several redhead bobby pins. You may choose to tuck any loose ends into the twist, or allow them to gather at the top of your twist.
2. Modern Bun
Many redheads have beautiful eyes, and a high bun with bangs is a great way to bring attention to your eyes. To achieve this modern bun, style your bangs as you normally would. Next, gather your hair into a high ponytail. After securing your ponytail with an elastic, twist your hair around the base of your ponytail until you fully roll your hair into a bun. Secure the coil with u-shaped bobby pins. To give your hair more volume, without teasing, start off with a high ponytail. Take a pair of socks you don’t wear anymore and snip off the toe ends, Place one sock into another, then grab the inside of the sock and roll outwards. Continue to roll outwards, until you create a donut shape. Take your donut shaped socks and secure it around your high ponytail. Then wrap your hair around the sock as you normally would for a regular bun. Secure the ends with the u-shaped bun. Adjust your hair around the sock until no remnants of the sock show through.
3. Loose Side Bun
Red hair also looks beautiful and flattering when pulled into a whimsical side bun. To achieve this loose side bun, gather your hair at the nape of your neck into a low ponytail. Make sure to shift the ponytail to the side of your head, right under your ear. Similar to the modern bun, wrap your hair around the base of the ponytail until only the loose ends remain. Secure the bun with u-shaped bobby pins. If you’re still leaning towards a little more glamour, add soft touches with bridal jewelry strategically placed around the bun.
4. Free Flowing Hair
Red hair also looks beautiful with highlights that are accentuated by curl patterns with free flowing wavy or curly hair. To achieve this look, curl your hair with a curling iron or hot rollers. The tightness of the curls and the thickness of your curling iron can change this look to be either sultry or ethereal.
5. Romantic Braid
The unique shading of your red hair looks gorgeous when pulled into a simple braid. To achieve this look, simply pull your hair towards the nape of your neck. Separate your gathered hair into three different bundles and alternatively overlap each one over the other. This simple braid looks especially nice when paired with hair combs pushed into the sides where the braid begins.
