5 Skincare and Makeup Tips for Redheads When Traveling

Keep Your Bag Organized and Mess Free

Are you headed on vacation this summer and dread having to pack all your redhead skincare and makeup? Well, we’ve got some tips for you that will save space and ensure you’ve got all your favorites wherever you’re headed.

1. Get Travel Containers

The easiest way to take everything you need is by investing in some travel containers. You can depot enough product to last you on your trip and leave the rest at home. This is especially good if you’re traveling with only a carry-on. Use leak-proof cosmetic containers for things like moisturizers, hair oils, and foundations that take up a lot of room.

2. Save Your Samples

Sample size products are a life saver when it comes to traveling. They are almost always TSA friendly and you don’t have to lug around your entire skincare and makeup collection. Just be aware if you’re using any new products to patch test them before taking them on your trip.

3. Seal Everything

If you do decide to take your full-size items, or you’re taking any open samples, make sure you seal everything. There’s nothing worse than having makeup leak in your bag and ruin your clothing. Put things in zip lock baggies inside your makeup bag to prevent leaking. Eco tip: use reusable zip locks to reduce plastic waste.

4. Use Combo Products

To save space, bring as many combo products as you can like a blush/lip combo, or a highlighter and contour duo stick. You can also use bronzer as eyeshadow and conditioner as shaving cream! This will help you save tons of space in your bag.

5. Know What to Skip

Take inventory of your products before you leave and decide what you will really need and what can stay home. Remember hotels offer complimentary shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion so unless you have a brand you love you could probably leave those items at home if you’re tight on space.
