It’s summer and this only means one thing: sunscreen is the signature scent of redheads around the world. Sunscreen is probably the first purchase you will make to prevent those dreadful sunburns. But, are you remembering to keep your lips safe too? You could surely apply sunscreen directly to your lips and it might do the job, but is not the most stylish way to go about it. Luckily, there are a wide array of lip tints that will keep your lips looking plump and colorful, but also safe from harmful sun rays.

With so many lip tints on the market, it is suggested that redheads need to watch out for two harmful ingredients: oxybenzone and/or octinoxate. They have been banned in certain locations due to its link to negative effects on the environment and the chemicals are usually irritating for redhead skin. Before purchasing or testing any products yourself, always check the list of ingredients for anything you know reacts negatively with your sensitive skin.
