Post Thanksgiving : 3 Natural Beauty Tips for Redheads

You ate. You drank. You stayed up all night. And now it’s back to reality (well, for a few days until the Hanukkah and Christmas festivities begin). Desperately seeking a winter glow for your fair redhead skin?

Here are three post-thanksgiving “redhead friendly” beauty tips from the skin experts themselves:

Sonam Sadhwani, a registered nurse, an esthetician with six years of experience and co-owner of Eyes by India recommends:

1. Squeeze fresh lemon juice in hot water and drink in the morning after Thanksgiving dinner for a few days. This will flush all the toxins from the body to leave a beautiful glow.

2. Another great way to get rid of toxins is to do hydrotherapy at home once/week on the face. Method: Splash extremely cold water from the tap on the face for 15 secs, then extremely hot water from the tap for another 15 seconds. Repeat this for 7 cycles. It will increase circulation and get rid of impurities. For sensitive skin, once a week is ideal.

Kim Laudati from Kim Laudati Skin Care recommends this detox formula:

3. No time for a professional facial treatment? No worries! The best way to detox from all of the carbs consumed and all of the outdoor and topical pollution that has accumulated on your face is to do the following:

Gently cleanse your skin to remove all makeup and residue.

Next, gently exfoliate to revive dull skin and remove impurities. Rinse with warm water.

Tone the skin by saturating one cotton ball or square with organic apple cider vinegar and swipe lightly across the entire face. Let sit for up to 3 minutes to detox the skin and help clear pores. Tingling is normal! Rinse clean with warm water.

Rock it like a Redhead!
