Take Control of Your Skin

According to a Livestrong Article, “Redheads can be more prone to acne because they have skin that is actually thinner than other people’s, placing nerves and blood vessels closer to the outermost layer of skin.”

Many women, even those that have surpassed their teenage years, suffer from acne and/or breakouts.  There are many dermatologists that claim that using natural remedies is the best fight against acne and some over-medicate to get rid of those nasty pimples.

And although both extremes might work for some women, most redheads need a simple skin regimen that helps control the skin. Here is a daily skin regimen for your red life:

1. Cleanser & Lotion: Before bed, wash your face with a cleanser that is free of harmful chemicals and works well with your ivory, sensitive skin. Opt for a product like Origins Checks & Balances. Next, make sure to apply a light weight lotion. Tip: When choosing a lotion for redheads, make sure the lotion is almost clear because this gives insight into what is going into your skin; if it’s too heavy, it could cause breakouts.

2. Sleep: It cures many acne problems because your skin is rejuvenated after those glorious eight hours of rest.

3. Make sure to not over wash your face: Because a redhead’s skin is so sensitive and thin, if you feel like your skin doesn’t need another wash in the morning or night, simply splash lukewarm water on your face, dry and apply the lightweight lotion before brushing on your daily foundation.

Listen to your skin and give it what it needs.

Now, sit back and enjoy your beautiful skin.
