7 Ways to Have Soft, Shiny Red Hair

Updated: October 30th, 2023

Do you ever see other women with shiny red hair and wonder how they do it? Here are seven tips to make your hair healthy and shiny:

1. Use a Redhead Gloss: Finally Glossy® Shine & Luminosity Shampoo for Redheads

It took many years to custom-make the Finally Glossy® formula and we’re so excited for redheads to enjoy it. We’re thrilled to release another clean redhead beauty product. It is paraben-free, cruelty-free, sulfate-free, petroleum-free, mineral-oil, and vegan. It also contains no perfume, is free of gluten and is silicone-free, phthalate-free, formaldehyde-free and cocamidopropyl betaine-free. This clean formula is formulated with Vitamin B3, olive oil, coconut oil and green tea.

2. Be careful when drying your hair: Soft Microfiber Hair Towel

When drying your hair opt to use a microfiber towel! Introducing the How to be a Redhead Soft Microfiber Hair Towel for Redheads. Because wet hair is at its most vulnerable, this custom microfiber towel gently and carefully absorbs moisture from your red hair and dries it quickly, all while protecting it from stretching and breakage. This design is uniquely shaped to wrap all of your hair securely (no matter the length), with an elastic strap to comfortably keep things in place. Your hair journey starts here, redheads.

3. Deep condition

Deep conditioning your hair reduces any damage from heat, pollution, or even brushing. Use a deep conditioner after shampooing your hair, concentrating on the ends. Leave on your hair for the time indicated on the product, or about 5 minutes, and rinse well.

4. Heat

Heat can damage your hair and can make your red hair look damaged and frizzy. However, straightening and curling can give your hair instant shine IF you use heat protection products.

5. Swap your hairbrush

Invest in a brush made with natural bristles, preferably boar. This will redistribute oils throughout your hair as you brush, restoring natural shine.

6. Water

Some of us just don’t drink enough water! Hydrating the body gives life to everything, including your red hair.

7. Cold rinse

One really easy and cheap way to gain some shine is to always rinse your hair with cold water at the end of your shower. This trick works because it closes the hair cuticles making your hair smoother.

Rock it like a Redhead!
