Review: November + December H2BAR Boxes

A look back at these two popular beauty boxes + tutorials on how to use the products!

The year 2020 is here! H2BAR ended 2019 with 2 monthly H2BAR Boxes — the November and December H2BAR Box. The combined value was $250! The big Deluxe December H2BAR Box will be an entirely separate review because it was THAT good! Spend some time looking into each product received by redheads in November and December:

The November H2BAR Box – Value of $126

1. Bambu Earth Repairing Facial Serum ($68)

Serums have become must-haves in our redhead skincare routines. They are super hydrating and help to improve skin firmness and smoothness while reducing fine lines and wrinkles. This lightweight serum from Bambu Earth is packed with cold-pressed pumpkin seed oil, rosehip and much needed Vitamin A & C. It works to help skin discoloration from sun damage and scarring. For best results, use after cleansing and before your moisturizer, especially in the evening.

2. Lexli Aloe-Based Cleansing Lotion ($7)

Good skin starts with a good cleanser. We collect dirt, pollution and bacteria on our face as we go through our day. That “stuff” isn’t good for your face. It needs to be removed ––– and no, your pillowcase is not a washcloth. This product from Lexli Skincare is packed with pharmaceutical-grade aloe vera and makes for a great first step in your morning and evening routine. Your skin will feel soft, smooth, clean and ph-balanced, which is definitely important this time of year.

3. GYV Travel Sized Lotion ($5)

Your hands are probably the first thing that will let you know the seasons are changing. They get rough and dry, desperate for hydration. Packed with maize oil, pumpkin seed oil, and other rich ingredients, this lotion from GYV absorbs quickly leaving your hands and cuticles soft and smooth.

4. Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven Masks ($5)

Everyone can benefit from peel-off masks. It can be difficult, however, to find ones that aren’t harsh and abrasive. Montagne Jeunesse’s Charcoal and Rose Gold are packed with natural ingredients and antioxidants to treat your redhead skin to a pampering session.

5. Pinch Of Color Healthy Lips Waterless Lip Oil ($21)

When lips get chapped in the winter, we have a tendency to lick them, trying to get some hydration in. That actually does more harm than good due to the natural oils being evaporated. Not only is this lip product from Pinch Of Color made with saturating oils from apricot, avocado and macadamia seed but it has a touch of color, too!

6. Vitabath Body Lotion or Body Wash ($6)

This is the perfect creamy coconut duo to give you a spa experience without having to leave home or spend a lot. The cleanser and lotion have a light scent to stimulate your senses. Packed with skin-conditioning Vitamins A, B3, C, E and B5, these fan favorites are sure to leave you clean, fresh and the environment happy.

7. Rawganic Single Wipe ($4)

Sometimes you get caught in a situation where feeling fresh—head to toe—can be difficult. Long car rides, camping, road trips, hiking, you name it. These single wipes from Rawganic are 100% biodegradable so you can use them without worry. Throw one or two in a purse, backpack or travel bag in case you need should need one.

8. Seed Phytonutrients Shampoo + Conditioner Packets ($10)

You can certainly have clean and conditioned red hair without tons of harsh cleansers, chemicals, fragrances, or phosphates. These little treasures make them easy to travel with, without the worry if they will be good for the environment and your red hair. They are the perfect combo for a deep, nourishing, healthy clean.

The December H2BAR Box – Value of $124

1. Reviva Labs Light Skin Peel Mild Exfoliant ($24)

The colder temperatures can cause the top layer of your skin to dry out and become rough. That’s why it’s important to get rid of that dull, damaging layer on a weekly basis. I find this product works best if applied to dry skin, rubbing gently in circular motions and then rinsed off with a damp cloth.

2. Earth Harbor MARINA Biome Brightening Ampoule ($38)

This is a nice little add-on to your skincare routine when winter has hit the absolutely no-signs-of-summer zone. Filled with blue botanicals, Earth Harbor’s MARINA Biome Brightening Ampoule serves as a lightweight facial oil for the skin, without a heavy, greasy feeling. Helps with hyerpigmentation as well as calms red or blotchy-toned skin. Purely natural, no synthetics, vegan, cruelty-free –– and ‘made by USA mermaids’.

3. PCA Skin Deluxe Travel Revitalizing Mask ($8)

PCA Skin knows all about us redheads with sensitive skin. They create skin cleaning products with safe and soothing ingredients. This once a week treat doesn’t just exfoliate the dead skin cells from your face but calms it with papaya and honey. Your face will thank you!

4. William Roam STEAM Shower Gel & Lotion ($16)

Treat your skin to William Roam’s STEAM shower gel and lotion. Made with sustainably harvested, antioxidant-rich Meadowfoam flower seed oil from Oregon’s Willamette Valley to moisturize and clean all skin types.

5. Pebble & Co. Scalp Exfoliator ($5)

After a while, your scalp gets to a point where it’s had enough. Hot appliances, dirt, product buildup, dead scalp cells, the environment, oils –– you name it! All of these can clog the cuticles of the hair shaft causing dryness, and even slow growth or even thinning hair. Help keep your hair on a clean path by “detoxifying” it with this scalp exfoliator 1-2 times a week.

6. IT NATURALS 12-In-ONE Argan Oil Leave-In Treatment with Keratin ($23)

Why jam your bathroom with endless products when you can have them all in one bottle? Enriched with Argan Oil and infused with Abyssinian Oil and Silk Amino Acids, IT NATURALS’ Treatment will leave your red locks smooth and shiny. Not to mention, this 12-in-one product repairs damaged hair and split ends, strengthens, hydrates, res…. *phew*. You get where we’re going with this!

7. John Frieda Wonder Drops Hair Mask ($5)

John Frieda’s little packet of mask drops is such a lifesaver. You can leave one in the shower for an extra conditioning treat, keep one in your overnight bag in case you need a little boost while away from home, or keep several for different concerns depending on what issue you need to address. Always a great convenient product from a high-end hair specialist company.

8. Boo-Boo Cover-Up Concealer ($5)

Sometimes we get nicks, bruises, bites or the evil pimple at the perfectly wrong time. Covering it is always an option but it doesn’t help it go away any faster. Packed with healing ingredients like aloe, chamomile and Vitamin E, this concealer not only masks the issue but helps it heal!
