4 Beauty and Confidence Tips for Redhead Bridesmaids

Look and feel your best on this special day

It’s wedding season, and being a redhead bridesmaid is a lot of fun, but it can also be a lot of stress. There are dresses to buy and hair and makeup to be done, and if you’re the only redhead in the bridal party, you might run into some issues. Here are a few tips on how to make sure that both you and the bride are happy with your look.

1. Be vocal during the dress shopping process

With fiery hair and fair skin, we know what looks good on us and what does not. Of course, the bride is going to have an idea of what she wants, but if she asks for input on colors don’t be afraid to speak up. The bride isn’t the one wearing the bridesmaid’s dresses, and while it’s important that she love the look, it’s also important that everyone feels their best.

2. Don’t be pressured

Requesting you wear a certain dress or have a certain hairdo for a wedding is totally normal, but there are boundaries you have to learn to say no to. Maybe your bride wants everyone to have a glowy golden tan for the wedding, but that’s not your thing. And if she asks you to change your hair color, run! It’s not normal to want your friends to change their appearance for your wedding, so it’s okay to say no.

3. Find inspiration pictures for your hair/makeup

When you’re getting your hair and makeup done it’s important to have inspo pics to help show the stylists what you want. Find photos of makeup looks that are close to your complexion and even pictures of girls with red hair to get the best idea of how things will look. If you bring in a photo of someone with a much darker complexion, your look might end up drastically different than you’re expecting.

4. Bring your own supplies

Some makeup artists may have a wide variety of colors to choose from, but some may not. Always bring your own foundation in case they don’t have a close color match. It can also be good to bring your own lip products, Finally Have Brows redhead eyebrow product, and even redhead bobby pins in case they aren’t used to working with redheads.
