Lindsay Lohan’s Career Just Made a Comeback — And Her Red Hair Too

She back and better than ever.

Lindsay Lohan has been a household name and a redhead icon for almost 25 years. Her breakthrough role in 1998 film The Parent Trap forever cemented her in our hearts, and timeless millennial classics like Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen kept Lohan a star through the early 2000s.

Over the years, however, the media and her fans have watched her go through many ups and downs. With a few TV show cameos and a couple of movies, Lohan was in the news more for court appearances than she was for premieres. Many of us thought she was out of the game for good when she moved across the globe to Dubai. Let’s not forget, during this time, she also dyed her hair back and forth from blonde to brown and tried to cover her freckles. In 2011, H2BAR wrote a piece urging her to go back to her natural shade of red

Then, in 2019 Lohan premiered her own reality show called Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club. It wasn’t much of a hit, but she seemed to be returning to her old self — her hair was even dyed back to a deep red. In 2022, she has done a 180-degree turn in her career, stepping boldy back into the spotlight with bright red hair. She’s signed in on multiple deals with streaming giants, got married to her long-time love and even started her own podcast.

She landed a lead role in the Netflix holiday movie, Falling for Christmas. It has been featured as one of the top streaming movies and we’re excited to see Lohan on her A-game again.

Let’s take a look at how this ex-teen redhead idol became the ultimate comeback queen of 2022:

She was one of the biggest stars in Hollywood

When she was just three years old, Lohan began her Hollywood career as a Ford model. Years later, she was featured as the lead roles in Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Mean Girls.

She had health problems and legal issues

This is when she covered her true self and went blonde/brunette for many years.

Even Oprah tried to help her with a one-on-one interview in 2013. Years later, Lohan admitted Oprah “saved my life”.

She moved to Dubai in 2014

Lohan moved to the United Arab Emirates in 2014. In a video interview with Vogue earlier this year, the 36-year-old actress revealed that moving to Dubai instilled a “certain sense of calm” in her. “Moving here was a fresh start. You hear more about real current events rather than celebrity gossip, which I really appreciate.”

She took the next 7 years to grow into who she is today

In July 2022, she married her long-term beau, Bader Shammas. In her recent interview with TV host Jimmy Fallon, Lohan commented on her marriage and husband saying, “It’s great. It’s amazing I met my person. You never know if you’re going to find that in life and he’s an amazing guy, man. I love him and we’re a great team.”

She’s working and her hair is red again..

Apart from her roles and podcast, she served as the narrator for Amazon Prime Video’s reality dating show, Lovestruck High. Lohan also revealed to Fallon that she and her co-star Jamie Lee Curtis would be game for a sequel to the iconic movie saying, “We would both be into it.”
