H2BAR: We’re sure you have a great selection of hair items to turn to. What is your most coveted hair products?

MF: A moisturizing shampoo like the Suave Natural Infusion Macadamia Shampoo. The conditioner too. Suave Professional Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil  and a light leave in product like Suave Natural Infusion Awapuhi Strengthening Light Leave-In Cream.

H2BAR: In your opinion, what is the number one hair product every redhead should own?

MF: A hydrating leave in product is a must, like Natural Infusion Seaweed All Day Body Leave-In Foam.

H2BAR: You’ve worked on so many redheads! What have been some of your favorite looks so far?

MF: I have 3 favorites. I love Bryce Dallas Howard’s braided chignon,

H2BAR: Do you find it different working on a redhead than a blonde or brunette? If so, why?

MF: Yes! The texture that redheads have is a little more coarse which is great because it acts like a memory to hair styling, making it last longer.

H2BAR: Do you have a favorite look for when a redhead just wants that ‘up-and-out-of-my-face-don’t-bother-me-kind-of-hair-day’?

MF: One of my favorite ‘easy looks’ is a textured and twisted top knot like I did on Julianne Moore at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1’ party.  It’s chic, easy to do, and perfect for either day or night.

H2BAR: What is your favorite hair accessory for a redhead?

MF: A headband can make you feel like you’ve done something completely different with your hair when it’s actually a simple little accessory. Plus it can be worn for something casual or a night out.

But it gives me leeway to speak my mind-2

H2BAR: Top 3 tips you’d give to any woman in order to care for her hair.

MF: Don’t shampoo too frequently. Trim your hair every 4-6 weeks to avoid dry, split ends. Do an oil treatment, like coconut oil, once a week.

H2BAR: How do you decide if hair is up or down when creating a look?

MF: I think the biggest factors would be the climate, the neckline on the top or dress, and the overall dress code you’re going for.

H2BAR: With autumn right around the corner, what hair styles will we be seeing from beautiful redhead celebrities on the red carpet?

MF: We will see the hair this fall more sleek, as well as naturally tousled. And both textures apply for chic updos.

H2BAR: Hair secrets are meant to be kept on the dow-low. Can you share with us just one?!

MF: Regardless of the style, start smoothing out the front hairline first. Once it’s dried, frizz and cowlicks are harder to undo. It’s the first thing you, and others, see so make it look amazing.
