5 Ways To Prepare Redhead Skin for Fall

Prep Your Skin for the Change in Seasons

As the weather changes and things get dryer and cooler, it’s important to start prepping your redhead skin for fall. Here are a few ways you can get your sensitive skin ready for the change in seasons

1. Use a thicker moisturizer

As the air begins to get dryer, you may notice your skin getting dryer too. Swap out your lightweight summer moisturizer for something a little bit heavier. This will give your skin the nourishment it needs. This applies to both face and body moisturizers

2. Start exfoliating more

It’s important to keep your skin healthy by getting rid of dead, dry skin. Start exfoliating more in the colder months to keep your skin soft and healthy. Add in extra exfoliating each week or as needed. Just be sure you don’t over-exfoliate

3. Hydrate from within

Hydration is important all year long, but especially with the change in seasons. Be sure you’re drinking plenty of water each day to keep your skin hydrated and nourished. This will help keep it from being too dry.

4. Find an autumn SPF

Just because the sunny days of summer are behind us doesn’t mean you don’t need SPF. Fall weather can come with a high UV index and can lead to sunburns and skin damage. Find a good Fall SPF to add to your routine.

5. Incorporate an oil

Fall is a great time to incorporate oils into your skincare routine. Adding a facial oil can help you combat signs of aging and help to hydrate the skin. Mix a little in with your regular moisturizer to keep skin soft and supple.
