When your redhead eyebrows are freshly groomed an amazing transformation happens: your smile gets bigger. You stand a little taller. Your red hair looks a little brighter. When a single part of your redhead beauty routine holds enough power to make or break your day, you want to make sure they look their best in between waxing or threading appointments.
Here are a few easy ways to maintain your brows at home between waxes:
1. Clean up stray hairs
If your brows are looking a little messy, try cleaning up the stray hairs by tweezing them. Follow the general shape of your brow and be sure to avoid over-plucking. Another option is to use an eyebrow razor. This is an easy, pain-free way to clean up the edges. Go slowly and don’t go too close to the brow to avoid changing the shape.

2. Use a brow gel
When brows become grown out, they often get messy and unruly. Tame them with a brow gel like H2BAR’s Finally Have Brows Tinted Eyebrow Gel to keep them looking neat and polished. For a simple yet chic look, try brushing them up until you reach the arch and then brush back from the arch to the tail. The product will also keep the hairs tamed because most redheads have coarse brow hairs.

3. Trim your brows
Trimming your brows takes a steady hand, so only attempt it if you’re confident in your skills. Take an eyebrow brush or a clean spoolie and brush the brows upwards. Then, using the brush as a guide, trim just the tips of the hairs to get a clean, polished look.

4. Do a little at-home waxing
WARNING: This is not the top recommended option but we know some redheads prefer waxing. Redheads often have more sensitive skin, so be sure to use a gentle wax intended for the face and if you’re not 100% confident in the process, don’t do it.
Wax strips are the easiest and least messy to use. Use small strips to clean up the edges around and between the brows. If you accidentally get the wax on a portion of the brow you don’t want to remove, simply use warm water or oil to separate it from the hairs.
