7 Steps for Applying False Strip Eyelashes Perfectly

How to be a GLAMOROUS Redhead

Redheads are glamorous- everyone knows that! One of our favorite “getting ready techniques” is to apply fake eyelashes because they instantly make eyes fuller.

Since natural redheads usually have very light eyelashes, there are simple tricks we can apply to our makeup routine.

1. CHOOSING EYELASHES

The beauty of false eyelashes is they are all practically the same, no matter the price difference. We have bought $30.00 eyelash sets as well as $2.00 eyelash sets and the results are pretty much the same. It’s the application that matters.

You can choose full, exaggerated eyelashes or thinner, more natural eyelashes.

2. DARKEN YOUR EYELASHES

Never apply mascara before you apply false lashes. You don’t want blonde eyelashes peeking through, so our 1st step is to color in the root of our eyelashes with black pencil.

3. TRIM THE LASHES

When we open the package, we always trim the lashes on the side and the middle so the eyelashes fit perfectly to the eyelid. Our goal is to make them longer towards the outer corner of the eye then make sure there is barely any gap between the real eyelashes and the fake.

APPLICATION:We love the look of strip eyelashes. You can choose individual lashes, but this tutorial will focus on strip.

4. Squeeze eyelash glue onto the back of the eyelash set package and run the root of the lashes along the glue. Blow softly from side to side to make the glue a little less runny- you don’t want to burn your eyes!

5. Pick the lashes up with tweezers and bring it as close to your lash line as possible. Press from end to end and hold for 30 seconds.

6. Once dry, apply black eyeliner, following the line of the fake eyelash.

7. Apply mascara to join the eyelashes.

Optional: Use mascara on bottom lashes for an extra dramatic look.
