H2BAR’s Guide to Quick Makeup for Busy Redheads

Running Late? Try These Looks!

makeup

When you’re pressed for time, applying makeup can often cause delays. It always takes longer than expected, and sometimes, leaving the house without it simply isn’t an option. On those busy days when you’re short on time but still want to look your best, try one of these redhead-approved makeup looks that can be done in just a few minutes.

Five-minute makeup

When five minutes is all you can spare, we will focus on just two things: lashes and brows. For most redheads, these are our two “problem areas” because they are usually light in color.

To save time on your brows, use tinted brow gel. This will give the color and shape of your brows in just a few swipes. Lastly, swipe on some redhead mascara. Go for a shade close to your hair color, like Perfectly Auburn or Perfectly Chestnut. This will give your lashes some color and length but still look natural

Ten-minute makeup

When you double the time, you can add a few more products and get a perfect look. You can continue using your tinted brow gel and redhead mascara, but then add concealer + a pop of color to the lips. This will elevate your “no makeup” look to an actual makeup look.

Dot concealer under the eyes and on any problem areas, then blend it with a makeup sponge or brush. This will give you a little coverage and brighten up the face. When wearing concealer without foundation, opt for a shade close to your skin tone. For lips, keep things simple with a pink or nude lip.

Fifteen-minute makeup

Fifteen minutes is a decent amount of time to do light makeup; you might not feel rushed if you pick the right products. You know the drill: brush through those brows with some tinted brow gel. Curl your lashes and apply a few coats of redhead mascara. With more time, you might want to try a deeper shade like Perfectly Plum or Perfectly Brown. These colors will enhance the lashes and give you a more defined look. We’re still going in with some concealer, but we’re adding a foundation or skin tint overtop this time. Opt for something lightweight that doesn’t require a lot of blending

We haven’t forgotten about the lips in this look, but our lipstick will pull double duty. To save on time but add a pop of color to the cheeks, apply a little of your chosen pink or red lipstick to the apples of the cheeks and even the bridge of the nose. Blend it out like you would a liquid blush. Finish off with some of the same lipstick on the lips.
