H2BAR Podcast: MaryAnn Hennings, ‘Daisy Jones and the Six’ Hair Lead

This episode serves up great hair tips for redheads

Daisy Jones

We call fall/autumn Redhead Season because the color change in the leaves replicates the many shades of red hair. It’s truly the time for all redheads to shine, and that’s why we chose this guest for this first day of fall special episode.

We’re so excited to introduce you to MaryAnn Hennings, a seasoned hairstylist with over three decades of experience in the film industry. She kickstarted her career at a prestigious Beverly Hills salon, catering to the entertainment elite before transitioning to the Hair and Makeup union. After joining the Hair and Makeup union, she started working on well-known sitcoms, such as “Modern Family,” “Speechless,” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” More recently, she worked on the productions “Daisy Jones and the Six” and “Where the Crawdads Sing,” where she was the head of the hair department. MaryAnn has a passion for creativity and an eye for detail, and she continues to thrive in film.

If you’re unfamiliar with “Daisy Jones and the Six”, it’s based on a novel of the same name. In the book, the main character, Daisy, is a redhead, and for many readers, it’s crucial to see that character come to life on screen. MaryAnn played a key role in ensuring Daisy embodied the redhead we all know and love.
