It’s that time of year again. Fall is my absolute favorite season! Colorful leaves. Thanksgiving. Bonfires. Hayrides. But what I love the most is how amazing red hair looks with the warm colors of autumn.
Sometimes it’s difficult to figure out which colors make our hair pop the best, but thanks to fall, some of the most ‘redhead friendly’ shades are available. As a rule of thumb, it is usually best to pick colors that contrast your hair and skin. For example, if you have pale skin (like most of us do), deeper colors are the way to go. You want to stay away from colors such as pastels which could take away from your porcelain skin. It is best to choose colors like blue, green, purple, dark red, burnt orange, and navy. However, there can be some exceptions to this rule (i.e. beige can great with red hair when the right makeup and accessories are applied).
