Giu Giu is the creative vision of designer, Giuliana Leila Raggiani. Inspired by simplicity of natural textures, collage, travel and exploration, Giu Giu is a knitwear- focused label conveying the playful humor and offbeat freedom that life should embody, despite ones age or gender. In her 2014 collection, a line of simplistic and gorgeous pieces, were showcased at Capsule for Paris Fashion Week.
The designer sat down with How to be a Redhead to discuss her exhibit.
“Aesthetically speaking, the blue hues I used in my Spring/Summer 14 line, are a beautiful complimentary palette to redheads. However, I think there’s a bit more to it.” says Raggiani, “To me, redheads and Giu Giu sweaters go hand-in-hand. Redheads are special, and combined with a special knitted garment, it’s kind of magical.”

Raggiani said, “When I think of a redheaded lady, the word bold comes to mind. Redheads have the power to stand out, and should embrace that with life and spontaneity. It’s similar to my design approach, as I want my sweaters to reflect that carefree and light-hearted feeling.”
