Coffee is America’s favorite beverage next to water. Just like a redhead, coffee is irresistible. But, did you know brewed coffee and grounds can be used in your everyday beauty routine? The How to be a Redhead beauty team rounded up their favorite ways to incorporate this breakfast staple into your hair and skin regimens:
1. Coffee as a body exfoliator:
Do you suffer from dry patches or bumps on your arms and legs? Directly apply coffee grounds to your skin and rub in gentle, circular motions. Rinse with cool water and finish with a moisturizer. If you don’t want to do it yourself, turn to a product like Alba Firming Scrub Coffee & Espresso Beans.

2. Coffee as a scalp exfoliator:
Exfoliating your scalp is a must. It not only eliminates buildup, but it also creates circulation that can cause hair growth. Apply ground coffee to wet scalp. Massage in circular motions for 1-2 minutes. Rinse and continue on with your shampoo and conditioner routine.
3. Coffee as a puffy-eye eliminator:
Redheads are known to have very sensitive skin, especially around the eye area – the thinnest area of skin. Because of this, waking up with puffy eyes can be a common thing. Save the grounds from your morning coffee and place in your refrigerator for about an hour to cool. Apply the cool grounds underneath your eye area for about 10-15 minutes. Rinse with cool water.

4. Coffee as a face mask:
What redhead doesn’t like to pamper herself? Applying coffee to your face brightens and smooths the skin. Mix coffee grounds with organic plain yogurt (you also have the option to use olive oil instead) and apply to your face for about 10 minutes. Rinse with cool water and finish with your face moisturizer.
