10 Eyeshadow Palettes Every Redhead Needs To Know About

Plus, some cult favs!

You’re probably wondering about the best redhead makeup for the start of spring. This new season is usually the time when pull out my eyeshadow palettes while embracing dewy, effortless skin (sunscreen required) and bright lips. Recently, I have been really into eyeshadows. I find the thought of blending and creating palettes on the lid fun, artistic and relaxing. There’s really no way you can go wrong if you blend, blend and blend with subtle shades and use the right makeup brush.

I owe my new eyeshadow love to several palettes featured in the recent H2BAR Boxes. The February & May H2BAR Boxes both featured full-size palettes and I have found myself carrying them around with me to change my look throughout the day (and night).

Remember these top five ‘redhead friendly’ eyeshadow tips next time you’re applying your redhead makeup:

  1. Always start with a primer on the lids. We love Evelyn Iona’s Green Tea Primer, also found in a recent H2BAR Box. This will eliminate any creasing or smudging.
  2. Less eyeshadow is more, especially in the summer.
  3. Go for a darker look in the evening.
  4. Change up your black smokey eye. Opt for browns, dark taupes and purples — very ‘Redhead Friendly’.
  5. Have the right tools on hand to complete your look.

1. Nudes:

Urban Decay Naked3 Palette is a staple in a lot of makeup bags. The pale tones work great by themselves, giving you the option to build for a darker look when needed. I rock Limit, Dust and Trick all together almost every day.

Urban Decay’s Born To Run and On the Run Mini Eyeshadow Palette Detour are amazing. Double Life and Still Shot are two super ‘redhead friendly’ blue shades that really make my red locks pop.

Laritzy Cosmetics NUE Eyeshadow Palette is the definition of a staple makeup product. This bestseller includes rich, luxurious matte shades to wear throughout the day.

2. Bright & Fun:

I use to be afraid to wear fun, bright colors on my lids. I stuck to more earth-toned colors up until the Juvia’s Place The Festival Eyeshadow Palette came out. I turn to Oro and Aba when I want to mix it up and add some vibrancy to my eye makeup.

3. Purple & Beyond:

Most of us redheads love purple. It’s so complementary and will always be a ‘redhead friendly’ color. Start incorporating it into your eye look with the help from Coastal Scents Revealed 3D Palette & Lime Crime Venus XL Pressed Powder Eyeshadow Palette. All May H2BAR Box subscribers are enjoying this palette!

Embrace warm coppers and rich, romantic mauves with ColourPop’s Give It To Me Straight Eyeshadow Palette. This is a great palette if you’re new shadows. Start with Downright and work you’re way into adding Candid, TMI and Be Blunt.
