This week, we’re answering the question: “Should redheads wear brown mascara?” A redhead on social media shared how a friend suggested that brown mascara might be more flattering, but they weren’t sure what color to rock with their red hair. For most redheads, mascara is an integral part of their makeup routines. Light-colored eyelashes can make them seem invisible, but mascara can help define and lengthen the lashes.
Brown vs. black mascara
The two most common mascara colors are black and brown. These shades can be found in almost any drugstore nationwide and are standard for mascara brands. For redheads, the decision between the two might be confusing. Neither black nor brown matches our hair, so which one do we choose? The redhead who wrote in was told that brown may be more flattering on them, and that can be true!
