Ginger Alert! Anne is coming to a television near you! The iconic redhead from Green Gables will be joining the Netflix red pack including Stranger Things’ Barb, Red from Orange Is the New Black and Kimmy Schmidt from Watch Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
Anne, an adaption of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s 1908 novel Anne Of Green Gables, is a collaboration between Netflix and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The role of Anne will be played by newcomer, Amybeth McNulty. The series follows the adventures of the young (fiery) redhead orphan, Anne Shirley, after moving in with her older brother and sister, Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert, and adjusts to life at the Green Gables farm.

All eight episodes will be available through Netflix on May 12. The first trailer teaser was just released and we couldn’t be more excited.
