Amy Adams Stars in New HBO Show ‘Sharp Objects’

Thriller Alert!

Amy Adams is by far one of my favorite redheads. She is funny, beautiful, and her talent is through the roof. This summer, Adams will embark on a new project that will have you both on the edge of your seat and hiding under the covers.

HBO’s upcoming mini-series, Sharp Objects, is based on the novel by Gillian Flynn, the mastermind behind the bestselling novel, Gone Girl. From the director of Big Little Lies, it’s safe to say we’re in for a wild ride.

The story takes us to the small town of Wind Gap, Missouri where two young girls have mysteriously been murdered –– one after another. Adams plays Camille Preaker, a young newspaper journalist who happens to be from the same town as the homicides. For years, she has struggled with mental health issues after the death of her sister, Marian.

Adams’ editor sends her to Wind Gap to crack the story before any other newspaper gets to it. She soon finds herself in the middle of all the danger she’s supposed to be covering from untrustworthy law enforcement, small-town gossip and confronting her past.

Similar to Gone Girl, this story will have you questioning everything. We can’t wait for it to air on HBO in July 2018.

In other news, the director of the planned Enchanted sequel, Adam Shankman, revealed earlier this year the script was about finished. Shankman told Collider in an interview, “I’ve been in touch with Amy [Adams] and the cast, and everybody is really into it. We all love the story about everybody wondering what exactly defines happily ever after. It’s just a very exciting project that we all hope happens. Right now, we’re in a good place.”

We can’t wait to see Adams on the big screen and TV. Rock it like a Redhead!
