Alanna has recently reached the point in her life where she absolutely loves her hair color, freckled face and pale skin. She was born to be noticed, but being a shy girl meant she sometimes resented her hair because she knew people were watching. Through most of high school, she was teased, called names such as ‘ranga’ and people always asked her why she was “so white”. Although she still received many compliments, it was the hurtful comments which always stuck with her. To this day, she has never put one bit of dye into her naturally red hair and never will.
Alanna said, “After finishing high school, I realized being a redhead is very special and I feel very unique; not to mention there is a high chance we [redheads] will never go gray.”
