Soft Microfiber Hair Towel for Redheads
1. What exactly is a microfiber hair towel?
A microfiber hair towel is best used for drying delicate hair textures such as curly, wavy, or frizzy hair. Microfiber towels are gentle on the hair and help to absorb excess moisture without causing frizz or damage, unlike regular towels which can be too rough and abrasive. They are particularly beneficial for those with red hair, as red hair tends to be more prone to dryness and frizz. Additionally, microfiber towels are lightweight and easy to use, making them convenient for everyday hair care routines.
2. Stop causing damage and frizz
We don’t have to tell you how to use a towel, but we can tell you that using a microfiber hair towel instead of a regular bath towel is essential when it comes to post-shower rough drying your hair. When you rough dry your hair with a terrycloth bath towel, you’re creating frizz, causing damage, and usually aren’t soaking up much water. When you use a microfiber towel, you’re reducing the amount of frizz and damage while soaking up as much water as possible.
3. Enhance the natural texture of your hair
If you have curly or wavy hair, you’re probably familiar with a technique called plopping. It can help to remove some of the excess water from your hair, while also helping your curls/waves to form. Microfiber fabric is perfect for this because it helps remove the water effectively and won’t add any frizz to your curls. Here’s how to do it:
1. Start with freshly washed hair. Apply your favorite leave-in conditioner or styling products to damp hair.
2. Lay the microfiber towel on a flat surface, then flip your head forward so your hair is hanging over your head.
3. Lower your head onto the center of the towel, allowing your hair to fall into the middle.
4. Take one end of the towel and bring it up towards the nape of your neck, covering the back of your head.
5. Take the other end of the towel and bring it up towards the front of your head, wrapping it around the crown of your head.
6. Secure the towel by tucking the ends.
7. Leave your hair wrapped in the towel for about 10-20 minutes to absorb excess moisture and help set your curls or waves.
8. Gently unwrap the towel and let your hair air dry or use a diffuser on low heat to finish drying.
Remember, everyone’s hair is different, so feel free to adjust the technique to suit your hair type and preferences.
4. Distribute product without frizz
If you’re a scruncher, you also need a microfiber towel. It helps to distribute the product into your hair without adding any extra frizz. Your microfiber towel can help to define your hair’s natural wave pattern beautifully!
To scrunch your red hair using a soft microfiber hair towel:
1. Flip your head forward so your hair hangs in front of you.
2. Place the microfiber towel on a flat surface.
3. Lower your head onto the towel, allowing your hair to fall into the center of the towel.
4. Use the towel to gently scrunch your hair upwards towards your scalp, squeezing gently to encourage curl formation and remove excess water.
5. Continue scrunching until you’ve scrunched all sections of your hair.
6. If your hair is long, you may gather it towards the top of your head and twist gently before scrunching to enhance curl definition.
5. No more tugging or the heavy feeling on your head
Imagine this situation: it’s post-shower and you’re not ready to blow dry or maybe you like to air dry your hair. You want your hair out of your way while you do skincare and maybe makeup but it’s still wet. We’ve all twisted our hair up in a towel, but how often does it fall down or tug at our red strands? The microfiber towel is super lightweight so it stays on your head and won’t tug, plus it has a built-in elastic strap so you can tuck the end in and keep it secure, no matter the length.
6. See why other redheads are loving it
