Get ready to update your ‘redhead friendly’ beauty kit with some exciting new trends for this summer season.

1. Berry Colored Lipsticks

Lipstick is a fun way to update your look, especially if you’ve applied minimal makeup. Berry hues complement red hair wonderfully. Monochromatic makeup is also on trend right now which means your lipstick can double as a blush. Simply apply some lipstick to your finger and apply to the apples of your cheeks.

Try: Tarte Quench Lip Rescue Balm Rainforest of the Sea Collection in Berry

2. Cobalt Blue Eyeliner

Gorgeous blue eyeliner can seem a little daunting at first, but it can be used in small amounts or even to tight line your eyes.

Try: Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner Pencil in Sapphire

3. Gold Eyeshadow

Gold eyeshadow is a great choice for redheads with warm skin tones because it enhances the skin and brings out the golden tones in the hair. It can be used to create a light smoky eye that can even be worn in the daytime. If you’re a cool-toned redhead, try a rust or copper shadow.

Try: Bareminerals Gen Nude Latte Eyeshadow Palette (Gold) or NARS Women’s Precious Metals Single Eyeshadow in Guayaquil (Rust)

4. Glowing Skin

A dewy youthful look can be achieved with minimal makeup using tinted moisturizers, bronzers and highlighters. This look is more subtle than the previous trend of heavy contouring and allows our gorgeous freckles to show through.

Tip: Be careful when using bronzer as it can tend to look dirty if you are an exceptionally pale redhead. A safe bet would be to find a shade darker than your natural skin tone in a regular powder and use that in place of a bronzer. This way you can add that depth to your skin without looking too fake.

5. Freckles

Believe it or not, freckles are actually a beauty trend this season. People are actually paying to get freckles tattooed or sprayed onto their faces. To think of all those years, we redheads agonized about how to cover them up. So, flaunt those freckles.
