Get Amy Adams’ Complete Oscar Party Makeup Look

Deep purple eyeshadow and red lips were the theme.

After the star-studded Oscar’s dinner, the world-famous Vanity Fair after-party stretched into the night. Amy Adams attended the post-Oscar Vanity Fair bash with her husband, Darren Le Gallo.

Kiehl’s partnered with Amy Adams’ makeup artist, Stephen Sollitto, for her look and we have all the details.

First and foremost, one must wonder how a makeup artist decides what look is best for one of Hollywood’s most famous redheads. Sollitto commented by saying that he works with a combination of “the woman he is working with, her dress and the event.”

For the Vanity Fair Oscar Party five time Academy Award Nominee Amy Adams wore a gorgeous black netted and white Versace gown.

BEFORE MAKEUP:

Prepping the face is always the most important factor; the skin must glow before makeup can look its best. For any big event Sollitto recommends applying Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate the night before, so you wake up with a fresh glow in the morning. To start the look for the day, Sollitto prepped with a Kiehl’s Iris Extract Activating Treatment Essence and then tapped Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado under Amy’s eyes and finished with Kiehl’s Rose Arctica Lightweight Cream.

MAKEUP HOW TO:

FOUNDATION & CHEEKS

Starting at the top and working his way down with a damp Beauty Blender Sponge, Sollitto used Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow Foundation in #4.

As you can see from the swatches below, #4 (far left) is one of the lighter shades but with a warmer tone.

For cheeks, he was inspired by the thought of flushed cheeks looking fresh against the crisp white. So, he applied the perfect rose color to Amy’s cheeks, Giorgio Armani Cheek Fabric in #506.

EYES

Like most redheads, Amy has beautiful eyes. You don’t have to do a lot to make them stand out. On the Almond of the eye, Sollitto used Giorgio Armani Eye Tint Fluid Eye Color in #10. This is a gorgeous taupe and a perfect shade for blue eyes. He then took the same shadow went back and forth under the bottom lashes for a soft smokey affect.

At the lash line to darken just a bit he used Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Solo in #15, a deep purple. Sollitto lined the outer corners with a black pencil and blended, blended, blended.

LIPS:

For the lips, Sollitto’s inspiration was the Giorgio Armani Ecstasy Lacquer in #400 which he calls “the glossiest red around.”
