Go wild and celebrate your ginger hood:

Pippi Longstocking

Pippi just never does things as expected. Pippi doesn’t live by anyone’s rules and she is perfectly fine with being a little different. Rock it like a Redhead and embrace your inner Pippi! Braid your hair (you can use gauge wire and braid around that), wear a green oversized T-shirt, ad mismatched, knee-high, striped socks, and black boots. You can add some extra freckles with a redhead friendly eyeliner pencil. For the final touch: Get a small monkey doll, so Mr. Nilsson is with you, too.

Princess Merida from Disney’s Brave

This Scottish Princess is not only one of the most skilled archers in the kingdom, but also outgoing and has a soft heart. Merida is a warrior princess and celebrates her curly and wild red hair. To look like her, wear a blueish-green long sleeve V-neck floor-length dress made from velvet. To create the golden ruffle behind the neckline and elbows, cut out pieces of yellow satin and add it on. Wear a leather belt and leather boots, ad bow and arrow (from a toy shop), curl your hair, and keep it wild!

Megara from Hercules

Megara, better known as Meg is a femme fatale and a truly independent woman. With this easy-to-make outfit, you could find yourself a Hercules –– or not because Meg does not need a man. Wear a maxi or a high-low dress in lavender or purple, ad greek summer sandals. Cut out circles from yellow or gold paper to make the embellishments on the shoulders.

Ginger Spice from The Spice Girls

Spice up your life this Halloween with Girl Power and a pop-star costume. Blue and red are the colors for this outfit. A tight body con dress in red or blue (if you don’t happen to have a British flag dress), plateau boots, fire red lips. Alternatively, you could wear a sports bra and track pants. You get to be the hot one, while all your friends fight over being Baby or Posh Spice.

Lola from Run Lola Run

Lola is a fiery redhead and she needs to obtain a hell of a lot of money in twenty minutes to save her boyfriend’s life. Somehow she has supernatural abilities as she is focussed and manages everything in time. Lola wears a greyish-blue tank top, long green pants, and black boots. She has a black belt where she keeps her cell phone to stay connected to her boyfriend.

Wilma Flintstone

This beautiful redhead from the stone age has a strong will and despite her petite appearance, she is quite capable of causing havoc when angry. She is a woman, who knows what she wants. Wear a white tunic and a belt to emphasize your femininity. Cut off one shoulder strap of your dress, as Wilma is rocking the one-shoulder look. Wear an over-sized white beaded necklace and simple shoes. You could dress up solo or as a family!

Lucille Ball

Lucy is such a classic and it’s a fabulous costume for any generation. Put on a ’50s-style polka dot dress from a vintage or thrift store or wear a collared blouse buttoned down the front to the waist and an A-line skirt. Tie a white half-apron around your waist. Wear high heels. Apply a redhead friendly pink blush on your cheeks and put on fire red lipstick. Everyone loves this peppy redhead.

Jessica Rabbit

Jessica is a feisty-redhead and deeply loves her husband Roger Rabbit. She is also known for the line: “I’m not bad, I’m just drawn that way.” The most important part of your Jessica Rabbit costume is her long red ball gown dress that is so long it hovers just above the floor. Your Jessica Rabbit dress should have a split all the way up to the very top of your leg. Wear red high heels that match her red lipstick and purple gloves that fit all the way up the forearm. The hair? Let it flow!

Anna from Frozen

It’s time to impersonate this optimistic and caring redhead princess because Elsa is so overdone. Wear a black tank top and use fabric paint to draw out the top design. Wear a blue skirt, blue gloves and a light-blue undershirt. Black boots will do and for the cape throw a dark red or a maroon shawl over your shoulders. Add some extra freckles with a redhead friendly eyeliner pencil and braid your beautiful red hair. For the final touch: Get an Olaf plushie.’
