Bye Bye Frizz!

Not many of us prefer frizzy hair and the summertime humidity and heat seems to breed wild, untamable red hair.  Don’t let the fear of frizz keep you from having a wonderful summer. Just use these tips to help maintain your frizzy baby hair and keep your red hair looking amazing.

1. Finally Glossy® Shine & Luminosity Shampoo for Redheads

It took many years to custom-make the Finally Glossy® formula and we’re so excited for redheads to enjoy it. We’re thrilled to release another clean redhead beauty product. It is paraben-free, cruelty-free, sulfate-free, petroleum-free, mineral-oil, and vegan. It also contains no perfume, is free of gluten, and is silicone-free, phthalate-free, formaldehyde-free and cocamidopropyl betaine-free.

This clean formula is formulated with Vitamin B3, olive oil, coconut oil and green tea. It is NOT a color depositing shampoo and helps to give natural radiance to red hair, and helps to prevent frizz.

2. Use hair oil

Your hair is frizzing out because of the heat, the humidity, and probably because you have a hair type that is more on the dry side. You have to combat your dry hair by adding moisture and nourishing your locks. Hair oil is the best way to help restore your hair and add in the hydration it needs. Apply hair oil to your hair when damp, and then refresh your locks between washes by using hair oil on the ends and dry areas.

3. Use a hair mask 1-2X per week

If you have to wash your hair frequently you should use a hair mask. Increasing your hair mask usage in the summer will help to keep it hydrated. Hair masks can help to make hair sleek and shiny and reduce frizz when styling.

4. Utilize gels & styling creams

There’s only so much you can do when it comes to reducing frizz naturally, sometimes you need a little help from your styling products. Gels and styling creams are perfect for keeping your hair looking sleek and frizz free, especially around your face.

5. Use a humidity spray

Another product option is humidity spray. These are most helpful in humid climates where the frizz is coming from the humidity. Spray it on to finish off your style and keep it looking nice and polished.

6. Tame those baby hairs

If you struggle with little baby hairs or frizzy flyaways around your face, it’s easy to tame them with a little mascara-style brush and some gel. Or you can use a specific flyaway taming product like DMLNN Hair Finishing Stick. It can be used all around your head to flatten flyaways without reside or crunch.

7. Slicked-back styles

For the days when you can simply no longer battle the frizz anymore, try a slicked-back look. Slicked-back styles mean you can load on the product to help fight frizz and make sure your hair looks cute all day long.

8. Avoid overwashing

One of the reasons your hair may be dry is from overwashing. We often wash our hair more in the summer because we are in and out of the pool, lake, or ocean. You want to rinse all of that out of your hair, but you’re really just stripping it of its natural oils. Try to keep your hair out of the water when swimming and keep your washing to just a couple of times per week.
