A new redhead has taken center stage. Meet 22-year-old actress, Madelaine Petsch. She is best known for her role in Riverdale, a television series drama based on the characters by Archie Comics.
Here are 5 reasons why Madelaine is a rockin’ redhead:
1. Sticks up for redheads.
Madelaine released a comical video in collaboration with TV Guide to debunk the many myths of being a redhead. She stayed in the video, “Redheads throughout the ages have been subjected to myths and misinformation, and these tales of redheaded fiction have gone on for far too long.”
2. Always dresses in very ‘redhead friendly’ colors.
3. Plays a powerful main character in the show, Riverdale.
“The beauty of my character specifically is that she’s not just one note. She’s an independent woman who can hold her own,” Madelaine told Glamour in a recent interview.
Her character, Cheryl Blossom, always as an amazing ‘redhead friendly’ wardrobe too!
4. She embraces her red hair.
“When I was younger, I used to be very afraid of doing anything out there with my makeup because I felt like my hair was such a big strong piece,” Madelaine explains to Teen Vogue in a January interview. “And then I learned from this show, specifically, that you can really use brighter colors to play up your hair, as well. I used to never wear red.”

“Every single day, no matter where I’m going,” she stated to Teen Vogue.
