READ: 4 Redhead Friendly Colors for Summer

1. Use multi-use skincare products

Tinted moisturizers, BB creams and CC creams. They offer coverage and sun protection without the heavy feeling of a foundation. Apply onto cleansed skin after your skin regimen is complete.

2. Embrace hydrating sprays

Simply spritz throughout the day to keep your skin refreshed and hydrated.

3. Try a few game-changing beauty products

Cream blushes (think: dewy skin!), aloe vera shampoo bars and scalp sunscreen sprays will make your summer even more amazing.

4. Exfoliate your redhead skin

This will help get rid of any dead skin, prepping your skin before shaving and applying your favorite sunless tanner.

5. Use a nickel-free razor

Do you get bumps and irritation after shaving? You could be allergic to nickel!

6. Apply a leave-in conditioner before going in the water

Why you ask? This will help protect your red hair from the chlorine and moisturize it at the same time.

7. Conceal facial redness

Try using a redness recovery cream and wear sunscreen daily.

8. Spray sea salt spray into your red locks

It’s summer, so why not? Rock those gorgeous effortless waves. Tip: If you’re a fan of keratin during the summer months (us too), you cannot use a sea salt spray because it will strip the keratin away. Instead, opt for a color vibrancy enhancing spray with SPF like this (seen in many H2BAR Boxes).

9. Have aloe vera nearby

After a day in the sun, you’ll skin will need this soothing and cooling feeling. Freeze some aloe vera in an ice tray to easily grab them when needed.

10. Try an all natural deodorant

Aluminum-free deodorant is something your body will have to get used to but you’ll be thankful you made the switch now, rather than later.

11. Give a lash tint a try

No mascara needed. You’ll wake up with tinted lashes –– hello minimal makeup!

12. Try a streak-free faux-tan

No one will know!

13. Rock some fun hair accessories

And, yes, redhead bobby pins do exist!

14. Let highlighters will replace contouring

No one wants heavy contouring on their skin when it’s hot and humid outside. Try some subtle highlighter on the apple of the cheeks, bridge of the nose and brow bone.

15. Sunscreen every day

Redheads, this is an obvious one!

16. Less is more

Let your hair and skin breathe this summer. Embrace those messy braids, gorgeous freckles and glowing skin.

Rock it like a Redhead!
