Get Futuristic This Season, Redhead Style

Vibrant eyeshadow colors are all the rage on fashion runways! As redheads, it is important to choose colors that compliment the skin tone and an important tip is to go with hues found in a peacock’s feathers: teal, light green, light steel blue and purple.

But, looks on the runways are kicking the eyeshadow trend up a notch by making the the eye look “futuristic.” The futuristic makeup trend is exaggerating the eye with a mix of great colors and widening the eye with deep toned strokes.

Here are eight quick tips on how to rock this look:

Step 1: Apply Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion to eyes and brow bone.

Step 2: Opt for an eyeshadow palette that has the total “redhead friendly” color package. The Guerlain Les Ombres de Nuit 4-Colour Palette is perfect for the futuristic look and complimentary for every redhead.

Apply the light green shadow across entire eye up to, but not on the brow bone.

Step 3: Apply light steel blue shadow to lid only.

Step 4: Starting above the crease, lightly apply teal shadow from inner eye up to brow bone.

Step 5: Apply a grey/purple shadow from the midway point to outer edge above the crease.

Step 6: Highlight the brow bone with a lighter shadow.

Step 7: Line  the lower lash line with teal eyeshadow. Start from the inner corner of eye moving toward the outer corner. Then extend the line out and outline the eye under the brow bone stopping midway.

Step 8: Apply two to three coats of mascara.

Rock it like a Redhead!
