It seems like summer just started and everyone in the beauty and fashion industries are already talking about fall and winter. Do you know why? It’s because fashion and beauty trends are going to be trendier and more beautiful than ever- especially for redheads.

Adrienne: “My top advice for redheads during this time of season when summer quickly turns into fall is to prepare your skin for the change. Sensitive redhead skin can go from oily in the summer months to dry and itchy in the winter months. Stop this from happening with one simple technique: exfoliate. I was always told to exfoliate once a week, but from my experience with many redheaded women, it is important to exfoliate every other day (or more if you skin can handle it). Make sure the exfoliator is designed for sensitive skin, like the above ARCONA Brightening Gommage, and use with a gentle cleanser as well. You can opt to exfoliate before or after cleansing the skin. Also, since it is all about the red hair and because most redheads live busy lives, quickly make it look beautiful with a braid. Make your hair stay healthy with great hot tools. I love Nicky Clarke’s Hair Dryer and T3′s straightener. And, never leave the house without rockin’ nails and a gorgeous lip. I fell head over heels in love with L’Oreal Paris’ lip colors especially the Caresse!”

Stephanie: “I love this season because you can still wear summer clothes with a little pizazz. For instance, don’t get rid of those great summer dresses like the great Steven Alan Mimsey dress or your blouses like the Mango Double Print, but instead pair them with a great, funky jean jacket like the Rag-Bone Jean Jacket. Pair with great jewelry and ballerina flats. Most importantly, exude confidence when wearing these items because you’re a beautiful, rockin’ redhead!”

It isn’t your imagination; hair dyed red fades quicker than other colored heads of hair. Why is this? Red dye molecules are larger and heavier than their brown and blond counterparts. Consequently, this makes it more difficult for the coloring to fully infiltrate the strands and, instead, it settles on the outside. Too often, redheads face a tough choice between
