FEISTY FITNESS FOR YOUR RED LIFE
What do you red ladies do to keep your workouts interesting?

You don’t have to go to the gym. You read that right… you don’t have to go to the gym, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t focus on your fitness. A fiery redhead needs a fiery workout to keep her interest, so don’t just hop on that treadmill – make your exercise exciting enough to match your personality!
There’s a real benefit to mixing up your workout routine, and it’s not to just satisfy your inherent redhead energy. Pushing yourself past your normal boundaries is good for you mentally (endorphins, anyone?) and physically. If you do the same routine day after day, you’ll not only feel apathetic towards exercise, but you’re also not giving those targeted areas a chance to heal. When you add variety to your red routine, you can build strength in other areas and broaden your overall fitness. Keeping your body guessing helps you prevent hitting a wall, and can also prevent things like repetition injuries… not to mention boredom!
If you and your crimson locks love the outdoors, try going for a hike or a bike ride. Not only will you burn calories and boost your energy, your porcelain skin will also be sucking up beneficial Vitamin D… just don’t forget your sunscreen (redheads never do, right?). You’ll also get the added advantage of being able to enjoy the scenery around you, which can do wonders for your mood! Swimming laps is a great low-impact workout, and the perfect way to engage muscles you never knew you had.
Now’s the time to pick up your old softball glove or tennis racket – playing a team sport will not only get you workouts that you could never achieve on a treadmill, but you’ll also realize how uplifting a sense of camaraderie and healthy competition can be for your well-being. Maybe an all-redhead volleyball team?
If the sun is too harsh for your fair complexion, there’s plenty of options to keep you moving, sans sunburn. Signing up for a class can keep you motivated – you’ll make workout buddies who will push you further than the voice in your head can. Whether you try to tackle kickboxing, circuit training, or even those swing dancing lessons you’ve been coveting, you’ll be sure that your redhead passion will shine.
