And with avocados in season, why not use them to replenish your red hair?

Avocados are great for hydrating and nourishing the hair and for that reason, are usually an ingredient in many hair products. An avocado hair mask is jam packed with hydrating nourishments and perfect for those with a dry scalp or dry hair.

The recipe we recommend uses olive oil, but if you have color-treated red hair, you might want to substitute with almond oil as olive oil may lighten hair highlights or lowlights.

Avocado Hair Mask

Recipe is for long hair, use half the recipe if you have short hair.

-1 ripe avocado pitted, peeled and mashed into a guacamole-like mixture

-2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil

1. Mix avocado with olive oil. Stir until olive oil isn’t noticeable in the mixture.

2. Apply mask to damp hair

3. After 30 minutes, rinse off. Shampoo well. Dry and enjoy your beautiful red hair!
