Learn from My Experiences: Love Your Red Hair!

Rock it like a Redhead!

By: Val

I was born with red hair and the lightest/whitest eyelashes and eyebrows; my mom use to bring me into the light to see if I even had them! At the age of 13, I lost my mom to cancer. One of her types of cancer she had was skin cancer and it always made me aware that I had to keep my pale, redhead skin safe from the sun.

I was teased relentlessly because of my red hair and I hated that I was born with the rarest hair color. I colored my hair blonde until I was in my 30′s and finally realized how much I loved my natural hair.

I am now 41 and love being a redhead more than ever. My daughter’s three closest friends are redheads and I let them know how special it is to have red hair.

I am here to tell everyone to embrace and love your red hair!
