Redheads to Watch: Jane Levy & Carmit Bachar

By: Courtney Leiva

Think your teenage years were rough? Then you don’t know Tessa Altman from ABC’s Suburgatory. Played by the super talented Jane Levy, this spunky redhead gives a fresh breath of air to most sitcom heroines. Equally precious and witty, Tessa is wise beyond her years without being obnoxiously annoying. Although ABC’s new fall comedy Suburgatory has been the 21-year- old actress’s big break, Levy has starred on other shows like “Shameless” on the Showtime Network. If you are a fan of “Easy A” or “Mean Girls,” then “Suburgatory” is definitely worth a look.

The other Redhead to Watch is former Pussy Cat Dolls member Carmit Bachar, a multi-talented triple threat. After her work with the Pussy Cat Dolls, this successful choreographer has appeared in music videos with successful artists such as Michael Jackson, Gwen Stefani, and Beyonce. Aside from her musical career,Carmit serves as an ambassador for Operation Smile, an organization that provides children with cleft lip and palate repair surgeries. However, music remains Carmit’s number one passion as she recently collaborated with music producer Sammy Jay to create LadyStation, a new electronic musical project. For more on Carmit visit her website.
