Red Hair-Spinning Trends
Red Hair-Spinning Trends
Is it just us or is the high bun out and ponytails back in? From what we noticed at New York Fashion Week, ponytails are all the rage and we are diggin’ it! As always, we want to add a redheaded spin on this trend and this is our inspiration:
HOW TO ROCK THE PONYTAIL
Huffington Post shot this model attending the Luca Luca Fall/Winter 2011 fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at The Stage at Lincoln Center on February 10, 2011 in New York City. We love its 80′s inspired, fashion forward style, so we tried it at home and found you can get this look in a few easy steps:
1) With a comb, cut your hair in half using the tip of your ears as a starters mark. Brush forward the front half and brush back the back half.
2) Take the back part and brush it up towards your forehead and secure the pieces in the front-center of your head with bobby pins and hair spray.
3) Leaving the bangs untouched, take the side parts of the remaining top pieces and brush them up to meet the other bobby pins. Secure accordingly with hairspray and more pins.
4) Let the pony tail fall to the side of your face like the above picture.
To complete the look, apply red lipstick and you’ll be ready to conquer the world.
